Founded in 1997 by Shoichi Aoki, FRUiTS covered styles found throughout Tokyo. it is associated most closely with the fashion subcultures found in Tokyo's Harajuku district. The magazine primarily focused on individual styles found outside the fashion-industry mainstream, as well as subcultures specific to Japan. The publication was crucial in establishing Japan's fashion identity in the West. Since February 2017, FRUiTS magazine has stopped all production as "there are no more cool kids to photograph." Since then, older issues have become coveted items. This copy is in wonderful condition and features some amazing style shots from Harajuku.
